Goa — how the MLA fund works

How the MLA constituency fund works in Goa — the yearly allotment per MLA, how works are approved and paid for, and what the rules allow — taken from official orders and shown with their sources. It does not show how each MLA spent it.

Fund per MLA, per year
₹2.5 crore
Latest official figure found: Notification dated 6 December 2022 (Official Gazette 15 December 2022) · The ceiling is stated per Assembly Constituency (one MLA each), as an annual limit on projects that can be sanctioned. No later official amendment of the figure was found. The 2025-26 budget line for the scheme (Rs 8005 lakh) is a budget provision, not the per-MLA ceiling.

What this page does not show

How each MLA actually spent the fund. No official, MLA-wise record of spending for the current Assembly is published for Goa in a form we can verify, so we do not show it, rank MLAs or estimate it. This page explains the scheme’s published rules and allotment only. The amount is the latest one we found in an official document and may have changed since — the date is shown above and each source is linked below.

  6. 6

    Execution and funding

PWD executes the works, funded under Demand No. 21 (Public Works) of the budget; works must be completable within 365 days and are quality-checked under the CPWD manual.[1, p.1195]

  7. 7
